MMIs
Most UK medical and dental schools use the MMI format to interview applicants. So what is an MMI, and how can you prepare?
What is an MMI?
MMIs stands for “Multiple Mini Interviews,” a structured and modern way of assessing applicants for medical, dental, veterinary, and other healthcare-related university programs.
Instead of traditional panel interviews (e.g., like a job interview), candidates move through a circuit of short stations—usually lasting 5-10 minutes.
At each station, the candidate will face a new interviewer, scenario, and theme designed to test different skills and attributes.
These stations may assess:

The Purpose of MMIs and What We Offer
The aim of MMIs is to provide a fair, balanced, and comprehensive assessment of an applicant’s suitability for a healthcare career. Through meeting multiple interviewers and actively tackling a variety of tasks, candidates have multiple opportunities to demonstrate key skills, qualities and knowledge required in this field.
If you want to feel confident, be completely prepared for your MMI, and stand out from the rest, explore our Mock MMIs or download our Comprehensive MMI Guide.
Both are designed to help you understand the process, refine your answers, and perform at you best on the interview day!
